From October 2003 to July 2014, Natalie served as the Chief Governance Officer, Vice President–Investor Relations, and Corporate Secretary for ENGlobal Corp. (ENG), an energy engineering firm, and was a member of its executive leadership team.  In addition to her investor relations responsibilities, Ms. Hairston led ENGlobal’s corporate governance, SOX/SEC compliance, and corporate communications programs. 

Prior to joining ENGlobal, Ms. Hairston held similar positions of increasing responsibility at Chaparral Resources, Inc. (CHAR) and Hondo Oil & Gas Company (HOG) – both public exploration and production companies with operations in Kazakhstan and Colombia, respectively.

Ms. Hairston has more than 18 years of investor relations and corporate governance experience.  She has served in varying levels of senior leadership at public companies and as a best practice governance advisor to boards’ of directors.  Ms. Hairston’s business knowledge coupled with her proven success in creating and implementing investor relations and governance initiatives, includes: internal/ external communications, SOX oversight, strategic planning, business continuity, regulatory compliance, board/ committee meetings, and director recruitment/ orientation.  Her professional guidance includes mergers and acquisitions, monitoring and, if necessary, heightening the effectiveness of corporate policies/ procedures as well as other strategic and financial transactions for small and mid-cap companies.  

Natalie is actively involved in the National Investor Relations Institute (NIRI) and the Society of Corporate Secretaries and Governance Professionals (Society).  She was appointed to NIRI’s first subject matter expert committee, which was formed to define the roles of investor relations officers as well as to identify skills and necessary training as a precursor to professional certification by the organization.  In addition, she is a member of the 2015 Annual Conference Committee, NIRI’s Senior Roundtable (SRT), past SRT Steering Committee appointee and past President and Treasurer of the Houston Chapter.  For the Society, she served as the sponsorship chair for several regional conferences and as a board member of the Houston chapter.  

Ms. Hairston received undergraduate degrees from the University of Texas at Austin and the American University of Paris, France and holds a Master of Business Administration in Finance.
